Confirmation Testing



Apply the base of the Kinesio Tex to
the palmar surface of the head of the
5th metacarpal bone.



Maintain the wrist and hand in
extension to increase tissue tension.



Peel the Kinesio Tex from the paper
liner and place the tape temporarily
on the skin. Do not activate the glue
by rubbing.



Maintain the wrist and hand in
extension to increase tissue tension.



Stabilize the base of the tape and pull
distally toward the finger tips in order
to increase tissue tension.



Apply the medial tail of the “y” to the
flexor retinaculum of the wrist in line
with the 5th metacarpal bone.



Apply the lateral tail of the “y” to the
flexor retinaculum of the wrist to a
point in line with the 4th metacarpal.
