Biography:

William Shakespeare was born
on April 23,1564 at Stratford, England.

•

His life of education started at Stratford grammar school.

•

His father John Shakespeare was a glover who encouraged Shakespeare to
write.

•

1582 he married Anne Hathaway and had a daughter named Susanna in 1583.

•

In 1595 they also had twins named Hamnet and Judith. Hamnet died in 1596.

•

1594-1599 were momentous for Shakespeare. He produced a steady stream
of plays of the highest quality and verbal invention.

•

1599 he became part owner in the most prestigious public playhouse in
London, the Globe.

He returned to Stratford in 1610.

•

He died on April 23,1616 at the age of 52.

•

Shakespeare was buried in Stratford.
