Many thanks to the person who took the trouble to scan it. However, it would be a much
greater service, if someone scanned a bilingual version of this dictionary (several
versions exist), and saved each page as an individual .JPG file.

I converted the .PDF file to .JPG files, using Adobe Acrobat 8. I trimmed a few of the
pages. Unfortunately, in either format, many of the images (too small even in the
original) are not clear enough. I scanned a few pages from a Portuguese version of this
dictionary, along with the entire Index. I am willing to share some of them with those
who do some homework. (Freeloaders, do not bother to send me requests. I am trying to
serve those who are capable of adding to the general pool.)

I myself scanned over 1600 pages related to visual dictionary material, and made some
of the pages, along with this Oxford-Duden Dict. available at:

I scanned over 480 pages from that book. There are also some other pages that I scanned
in that .ZIP file. It took several weeks from my life. I highly recommend it.

As of 6 May 2007, the Oxford - Duden file was downloaded over 7200 times. Somehow, not a single
person among the downloaders bothered to contact me about sharing similar material.

I highly recommend "Advanced JPEG Compressor Ver. 5.0". I am including that in this .ZIP file.
You can use that program to compress some of the image files here. I simply do not have enough
time to do all this.

You can easily find a copy that is less than $ 20. At that price, it may be worth cutting up
(as I did with 3 different visual dictionaries that I had bought) and scanning properly.
Scanning an entire book may indeed be a very time-consuming thing, especially if done properly.
