Lesson 4
More, more numbers...




   Let's make numbers from alphabet, exactly from consonants.
Let T and D (sounds almost the same) mean 1. Let N means 2, rest:

7   K (G)

8   F (W,V)

0   Z (S)








NOTE: You should rewrite it.





What do we do? If we have some word we strike all the vowels
and consonants C and H (Note, that their absent in foregoing table)
That what left - that's our number.

What number is word: "VEGETABLES"?

So, let's strike:

Ve G e T a BL e S

Now let's match proper numbers to consonants that left:
Ve G e T a BL e S
8    7    1    9 5    0

We've just memorized number 871950 in ONE word!
Easy, isn't it?


OK. And when we have to memorize some long number, we write this number
and under it we write numbers from our table leaving some spaces. In these
spaces we put some vowels in such way that we make a word. If this number is long
we make few words (and later on we memorize this words in one three known ways..)

For example: we have to memorize number: 284013914.

      3     9         1       4
N   W(F,V)  R   Z(S)   T(D)  
M   P(B)   T(D)   R

We see it can be:
  2 8   4 0 1
          3 9 1   4

Easy? Of course easy.

So - practice a little:



EXERCISE 1 :
Build words from following number and memorize them
using Roman Room:

8 9 6 5 6 8 1 3 0 9 6 2 0 1 2





EXERCISE 2:
The same, but using "transformation":

9 0 9 0 7 21 7 1 0 2 6 1 0 3 9





EXERCISE 3:
The same, but using "making a story":

8 9 6 5 6 8 1 3 0 9 6 2 0 1 2




Now there will be a... BIG SURPRISE !

But at first you must be sure you know examples from former lessons.

Here's the example from lesson 1

OK. I assume you know these words:
root, iron, doom, Lee, Jane, make, maze, pool
Do you know what to do? A little help:
RooT iRoN DooM Lee JaNe MaKe MaZe PooL

Strike unwanted letters, and this is what you should get:
414213562373095
What is it? When you add 1 and a comma you'll get:
1,414213562373095 and this square root of 2 with 15 numbers
after comma!!! (You're good! - try to learn it normally)

And here's the first example from lesson 2


If you have already remind it, you can go on reading.
So you know all the words: Door TooL PaNe and so on.
If you were listening to me, and you really did this example, just
strike proper letter. You'll get the number. Now add 3 and comma in the
beginning, and you should get:
3.1415926535897932384626433832795028841971693993
Pi with 46 numbers after comma!!! WOW!!!!


Surprised a little? It's not over:
And here's the second example from lesson 2
You know what to do.
If you work a little and if you put comma after first number (2,...)
you'll get a square root of 7 with 15 numbers after comma.




So.., we know how to learn long numbers. Not everybody needs to learn such
numbers, but learning phone numbers to all friends shouldn't be any problem.
Am I right?






NOTE: It is really worth to invent words for numbers from 0 to 99 once
forever. For example 32 let it always be MaNe. This way, you won't be wasting
time for thinking what word you can create, just split number into
pair, and then learn these words. It is good if you learn often numbers, but
sometimes it is better to think a little and invent for example o word which
suits and which is 30 letters long...
