Forgive my ignorance what but is an I4B? I'm assuming its some type of inside bar but the "4" has me stumped.
Thanks

It's an inside bar with the smallest range of the last 4 bars. I
forget where this was originally taught, but it's somewhere in this
great forum!

It's in the New Strategies/ongoing Education here:
http://www.forexfactory.com/forexfor...ead.php?t=4239
Great and effective price setup by the way. I find it more reliable in the higher timeframes like Weekly and daily.

Is some flexibility alowed in scanning for inside bar like in the chart below?
It is an inside bar, but obviously not with the smallest range...
Any help will be appreciated.
thank you

It is an inside bar and can be traded as such, set orders above
or below as you feel goes with the flow, or set orders above AND below
to cover all bases.
The difference between this and an I4B is that one is the smallest bar
in the run of 4 bars (specially if they're all getting gradually
smaller).
It shows real uncertaintity in the market and I think James reckons the breakout is normally strong

Pin Bar
isnt
a pinbar just one of those Candle "Exhaustion tails" indicating heavy
selling. Or Butterfly doji at the bottom indicating heavy buying on a
particular Bar?

yes, but an extra requirement of a pin bar is that the open and close be contained within the first eye

Set Ups?
Does anyone here ever post setups they see as they happen or before?
I am finding Pinbars on the charts, but when you spot them 6 hours after the fact you cant trade them.
what is the method used for scanning charts, etc. How many charts
should you check daily, et. Wkly, daily than hourly 4 hour or what.
Example Lets say cable drops 100 pts than rallies up to 61.8 retrace
area, do I wait to see if a pinbar develops at that area and then short
it?

hello jimmy,
on daily just check your bars at the day close for all the pairs your
interested in, same thing with the weekly once a week and dont forget
the monthly. if you have the time check intraday as they end but i dont
recommend trading intraday until your succesful on longer term first.
if your waiting for a fib retrace just preposition your fib lines with
a note or a line and wait to see if you get a price action at that
level to trade. i scan over 40 markets each day for daily set ups.
whatever markets are showing a price bar i like i look closer and
determine where it is, support/resistance etc. if i see one at a level
or point that really interests me i determine if its something i want
to trade. if so i look closer but just the scanning part, at least on
daily charts, takes me less than 30 minutes a day for all these
markets. if someone is just watching 5 to 10 forex pairs and is new to
trading at least on daily charts it shouldnt take them longer than half
an hour or so.

Price action setup #1 - pinbar
There
is a huge pinbar on daily USDCHF. I will pass on this one as the S/L
will be too broad to handle. However, the pinbar is too obvious to miss
:-)

Price action setup #2 - TBL
The weekly EURAUD is showing a TBL. I would place a sell stop below the bars.
