KT Method
Lateral Collateral Ligament of the Knee (M-Shape)
Movie for broad-band (300kbps)
Patient position: supine with the knee
extended.
Apply the base of the  Y tape to the
posterior aspect of the lateral femoral
condyle.
As the patient flexes the knee to 90
degrees,apply the superior  Y tail
with light (25%) available tension
along the lateral patellar border; direct
the tail in an arc pattern to the lateral
thigh.
Apply the end of the Kinesio Tex with
no tension.
Apply the inferior  Y tail with light
(25%) available tension along the
lateral patellar border; direct the tail in
an arc pattern along the lateral border
of the tibial tuberosity.
Apply the end of the Kinesio Tex with
no tension.
Completed Kinesio Tex application
