Waqf (awqaf): property that is given to a religious cause.
Wiratha: property left by a deceased.
Yatama: plural of yateem (orphans).
Yathrib: name of Madinah before the Prophet moved in.
Zakat: to be given to the poor, 2.5 percent of the property not in use for one whole
year.
