Four of the five prisoners who escaped from Broadly Prison on Saturday have been found by the police in the wood near the prison. A spokesman explained that the men are now back behind bars. However, one man, Daniel Rimes, is still a fugitive, and likely to be in the Leeds area. Rimes is not believed to be dangerous, but anyone with any information should contact the police.
Actress Jasmine La Riva has been sentenced to two hundred hours of community service after she assaulted two paparazzi photographers outside a Leeds hotel last October. Outside court yesterday Miss La Riva's lawyer, Claire Bunton, apologised on behalf of her client, and told journalists that she had been very upset after splitting up with her boyfriend, actor Hugh Wallins.
A fourteenth century painting that was discovered in the kitchen of an elderly local woman will be sold at auction today in London. The painting, by an unknown artist, was given to eighty-six-year-old Lily Johnson's father by a relative. It has been in her kitchen for almost thirty years, and was used to hide a water stain on the wall. The painting is expected to fetch over three million pounds.
