Teacher comes to the class, says “hello” and asks how they feel. Then checks the list.	- to introduce lesson - to encourage students to speak	T-C T-S	3'
Teacher plays recording and asks students to listen to the words and find two contrasting sounds in the words (short and long i). Then, teachers plays the recording several times for students to listen and repeat the words.	- to draws students' attention to the short and long vowel sounds	T-C	10
Teacher asks students to repeat the sentences after her. Teacher draws their attention to the singular and plural nouns in the sentences.	- to introduce structures of there is / there are	T-C	5'
Teacher writes four sentences on the board for students to complete with is or are and asks them to write down the sentences to the copy book.	- to practise structures of there is / there are	S1,S2,…	5'
When checking students' answers, teacher reads out the example sentence. Teacher asks students why `there is' and not `there are' is used here. Asks also to complete remaining sentences.
