To what extend can education help protect the environment (justify your opinion)

There is no doubt that education can help protect the environment. The society which is aware of the environmental pollution can stop destroying our planet so that our future generation can live longer.

There are several ways to educate people how to protect the environment. Firstly, ecology should be introduced in schools as a very important subject. In this way young people will be more conscious and sensitive to the problems of our contaminated world. In addition, some ecological competitions should be organized, specially for the youngest students. As a result, they will be encouraged to take care of the environment.. What is more, education can help us understand that using environmentally friendly products stop the pollution of the water or damage of the ozone layer. Apart from this, educated people support ecological organizations which influence and persuades governments to make the right decisions in order to protect the environment in which we live.

The more we know about the problems our planet face, the more we are educated the more solutions can be find to help the Earth to be clean and safe.
