++ SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ++

0. QUIZ runs under Microsoft Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP or higher.

1. 11 MB space available on hard disk.

++ SPELL CHECK DICTIONARIES ++

0. QUIZ uses ISpell dictionaries installed with "ISpell - LS-Distribution". You find it on my web site under
   http://www.luziusschneider.com/Speller/English/index.htm

1. Additionally, QUIZ can use spell check dictionaries installed with MSOffice 95 or 97. For higher versions of MSOffice, only some languages will work.

++ INSTALLATION ++

0. Double - click the file QInstall.exe. The program QUIZ will be installed.

1. If you want to update a previous version, simply install the program into the already existing folder.

2. The true type font HebrewTH for the questionnaire "Hebrew alphabet" will be available only after you RESTART YOUR COMPUTER.

++ UNINSTALLATION ++

0. Choose under system|software|install/uninstall the program QUIZ, and confirm "install/uninstall".

1. If you do not use any other application, which needs BDE (Borland Database Engine), you can uninstall it according description above.

2. Most probably, there was some runtime data stored in your folder ....\Quiz.., for example your training record. Therefore the folder has not been deleted. You have to delete it manually. After a standard installation, you find it under C:\Program Files\Quiz.

3. You have now completed the uninstallation.

++ LICENCE ++

0. This program is principally freeware. You may use QUIZ free of charge, you may copy it and give it to friends (only as a whole, including all example files etc.), or even publish it. The only condition is, that you send me all worthy question files, you created, for unconditional use. Everybody will benefit, as after some time, there will be available a whole library of question files.

In other words, you do not need to register QUIZ, as long as you are ready to share any quiz file you create.

0. If you do not like to share your question files publicly, you have to register QUIZ (shareware). In this case, send me US$ 20.-- in any convertible currency. You will then get your personal RegNo.

1. I appreciate, if you inform me about problems with QUIZ, or if you have any idea for improvement.

2. You may join a mailing list on my web site to get current information about new versions.

3. This software is provided as is without warranty of any kind, either express or implied. In no event shall Luzius Schneider (the author) be liable for any damages whatsoever including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, loss of business profits or special damages.

++ TO PASS ON AND TO INSTALL QUESTION FILES ++

0. All question files are stored in the folder...\Quiz\Quiz Files\ (standard C:\Program Files\Quiz\Quiz Files\). You can look there for your lately created question files, copy them, and pass them on. As well, if you want to install new question files, you simply copy them into this folder.

1. You may add supplementary information to some questions. This information is saved as rich text file (*.rtf) in the folder ...\Quiz\Knowledge\. You can create such rich text files with your favourite text program or with the built in Rich Text Editor. Do not use multiple columns, header or footer.

2. When passing on your question files, you are of course requested to include all information files.
