Notę: Both flexor digitorum muscles and the median r>erve pass under the llexor retinaculum (page 10) in the wrist. When irritated. the synovial sheaths of these muscles can compress the median r>erve. causing the sensory and motor deficits known as carpal tunnel syndrome.
