‘ Out at ..." means bring the ueedle tiom the back of the work through to the front. “In at..." means take the necdle from the right side of the work through to the back Suggested colours: copper thread on hammered ubite card.

Work the outline in stcin stitch using the illustration as a guide.
Leaves.
See leaf I.
Work the Steni in stem stitch.
Section I.
Out at A in at B.
Out at C in at A.
Out at D in at E. Continue to stitch the leaf in this way using the tlnished illustration as a guide.
Veins.
Work the centre veins of each leaf section in backstitch.
Stitch the other leaves in a sitnilar way.
