Foundation: Using orange yarn, ch 2. turn.

Rnd 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hk, pm, do not turn.

Rnd 2: 2 sc in ea st - 12 sts.

Rnd 3: (Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) rep 6 times - 18 sts.

Rnd 4: (Sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st) rep 6 times - 24 sts.

Cont with 6 inc in ea rnd until you work a rep of (sc in the next 9 sts, 2 sc in the next st) for a total of 66 sts.

Work even with no inc for 6 rnds.

On next rnd, work a rep of (sc in next 9 sts, sk 1 st, sc in next st) 6 times • 60 sts.

Cont dec 6 sts ea rnd until pumpkin opening is about 2" across.

Stuff the pumpkin with fiberfill and cont in dec palt until opening is almost closed.

Cut the yarn to 24" and weave opening closed. Do not weave in end. It will be used to make pumpkin shape and to sew leaf in place.
