Top Trim:

Row 1 (wrong sideł:

Sk first dc; * dc in nexl dc, ch 1, sk next dc; rep from * 37 times morę; dc in next dc, ch 1; join in 3rd ch of turning ch-4—40 ch-1 sps. Ch 1, turn.

Row 2 (right sideł:

In cach ch-1 sp work (sc, Irc, sc); join in first sc.

Finish off and weave in ends.

Bottom Flap:

Hołd piece with right side facing you and beg ch at top; with boih strands hcld tog; join in first unuscd Ip of beg ch to left of joining.

Row 1 (right side):

Ch 1, sc in same Ip as joining; working in rem unused ips, sc in next 29 Ips—30 sc. Ch 1. turn, leav-ing rem Ips unworked.

Row 2:

Scin cach sc. Ch 1,turn.

Rows 3 through 10:

Rep Row 2. At end of Row 10, finish off. Icaving an 18* end for sewing.

Drawstring

With both strands hcld tog. make a Chain 24* long. Finish off and weave in ends. Set aside.

Strap

With both strands held tog. ch 126; working through back bump of chs, hdc in 3rd ch from hook (beg 2 skipped chs count as an hdc) and in each rem ch— 125 hdc. Finish off.

Strap Trim:

Join thread only in 2nd ch of beg 2 skipped chs of strap; sl st in next 124 hdc; working around end of row. 2 sl sts in sp formed by edge hdc; working on opposite side in unused Ips of beg ch, sl st in each Ip; 2 sl sts in sp formed by beg 2 skipped chs; join in first sl st.

Finish off and weave in all ends.

Finishing Step 1:

Hołd piece with right side of bottom flap facing you; working in ends of sc rows and in unworked SC on Row 10 of bottom flap, sew flap to corresponding unused Ips of beg ch.

Step 2:

Wcavc drawstring through Row 1 of top trim. begin-ning and ending at joining.

Step 3:

Referring to photo for placomcnt, sew one end of strap to wrong side of top trim at joining; sew opposite end of strap to right side of Row 11 on body at joining.
