INSTALLATION
• Apply grease to the bearings.
• Fit the steering stem, upper bearing and steering stem nut.
• Tighten the steering stem nut with the special tool.
(S) 09940-14911: Steering nut Socket wrench 09940-14960: Attachment
H Steering stem nut: 45 N m (4.5 kgf-m, 32.5 Ib-ft)
Move the steering stem right and left several ti bearings.
Turn back the steering stem nut by 1 <4 to 1/1 Fit the steering stem head nut and tighten i Remount the front forks. (dT"
• Tighten the steering stem head nut to the specified torque. H Steering stem head nut: 100 Nm (10.0 kgf-m, 72.5 Ib-ft)
• Remount the handlebars. (dT" 12-4)
INSPECTION AFTER INSTALLATION
• Front fork (dT‘2-20)
• Steering {dT2-20)
• Wire, cable and hose routing (CI7“19-12,13,16)
