BASKET OF ROSES

Apply two coats of varnish to the roses, buds and leaves and leave them to dry in the oasis.

Roli out the leftover green dough. Cut out eight leaves with the cutter. Make some leaf markings to one side of the leaves. Attach the leaves to the florist's wire by dabbing PVA glue on the back of the leaf and lay the wire against it. Stand these up in the oasis to dry.

Finishing the basket of roses

Cut the oasis into chunks and put it in the basket. Don’t over fili the basket, or the lid will not fit on top.

Place the two halves of the lid on the basket. Put some fast-setting glue where the two hałves meet and hołd it in a slightly upward position for a few seconds until the glue has dried.

Arrange the roses, buds and leaves around the edge of the basket, pushing the ends of the cocktail sticks and wires into the oasis. Cut the ribbon in half and tie bows around each end of the basket handle.
