Bread dough

50g (2oz) white bread without the crusts '/ tablespoon of white acrylic paint 1: level tablespoons of PVA glue '/$ levei teaspoon glycerine or glycerol You will need:

1 medium-size terracotta garden plant pot (not plastic)

Cocktail stick Smali blossom cutter

Smali amount of pale yellow matt finish emulsion paint Smali piece of sponge

Sky blue, dark green, dark brown and white paints

Divide the bread dough in half. Colour one half dark brown. Divide the other half into two pieces and coiour one piece dark green. Leave the remaining piece white. Wrap each piece in plastic wrap or ding film.

Make surę the pot is clean and dry. Paint the pot, inside and out, with the yellow paint. When this is dry paint the top edge of the pot with sky blue paint and leave the pot to dry.

Sponge paint the bottom of the pot with dark green water-based paint. Dip the sponge into the paint, then, starting at the bottom of the pot, dab the paint on the pot until about three quarters of the pot is covered.

Paint some white clouds over the blue sky around the top edge of the plant pot.

Before you begin making the bread dough shapes, mark the position of the pieces on the pot with a pencil. Stick the pieces on the pot with PVA glue as soon as you have madę them. so that they don't dry out. Leave the plant pot to dry for eight hours.

Finishing the pot

Add finał touches of paint with a fine paintbrush. Once the paint is dry, apply two coats of acrylic varnish.
