To update the catałogue click the ‘Check my Status’ action button located at the bottom right of the Home screen. This allows requests to be sent to the ADS server to check if the catalogues used in Planning Station are the latest available and if they are not it will send back the required catałogue updates.

You can submit this request using your preferred communication method (removable drive, email or HTTP- see Planning Station User Guide for further details).

How to request and apply updates to Admiralty products using Planning Station

In Planning Station digital products are updated in the Maintain Holdings screen, paper products can be manually updated in Maintain Holdings. Additional Admiralty products can be ordered within the Catałogue screen.

How to keep my paper charts up-to-date using Planning Station

There are a number of software applications which support paper chart updating by allowing you to download the Notice Mariners text and chart blocks. Some of these can be used in combination with Planning Station providing you with an integrated solution to keeping all your products up-to-date. To update your paper charts and maintain your holdings information using this method, a paper chart updating module must be installed on the same PC as that which you are running Planning Station

Using A Paper Chart Updating Module in Planning Station

To access your chosen Paper Chart Updating Module, from the Maintain Holdings screen select the Holdings tab. Select the paper charts to be updated from the table and click the button ‘Get Update'. This actiyates a pop up window.

Within the pop up window set the filter to 'Paper charts'. This will launch a paper chart update module if one is already installed on the Planning Station Computer. If no paper chart update module is detected follow the instructions on the pop up window. Planning Station will automatically synchronise your paper chart holdings Information with the paper chart updating module. You can then update your paper chart holdings using your paper chart updating module (refer to the user guide of that module for details) and the holdings are then re-synchronised with Planning Station.

Manually updating your paper products

You can also manually update your paper chart status in e-Navigator to 'Up to datę’ by selecting the chart or charts, right click in the update status column and change it to ‘Up to datę'.
