•    Synonymy - a case when two lexemes are formaily different but simiiar in denotational meaning (live, dwell, reside - same denotationaliy, but different connotations); have to be distinguished by context which shows their connotations; differences in stylistic (formaI, informai) and emotive (positive, negative, neutrai) charge.
