STATISTICAL METHODS IN REAL ESTATE VALUATION

The purpose of the article is to refresh forgotten or perhaps often unknown statistical methods, which should find their place in the workshop of appraiser -statistidan. They concem smali samples (for individual valuations) and mass appraisal as well. The paper presents bootstrap method and its advantage over dassical methods based on strong assumptions, normalizing transformations as: Box and Cox transformation and Normal Score Transform, crossvalidation as a method for testing models and a single example of robust estimation techniąue. Some of the methods presented in the paper were shown on a simple example.
