The complementary of laser and FTS spectrosropic experiments for tlie studies of steady-state matter is a we 11 established and efficient feature. Strong arguinents allow the pre-dictłon of a similarly successful complementarity in the growing field of tiine-evolving phenomena.
The present paper reports the instrumental progress madę on the high resolution spectrora-eter of LPMA, for time-resolved applications. This interferoraeter has already produred, under rudimentary instrumental conditions, nice high resolution time-resolved results®. Improved experiinental Solutions to overcome the difficulties related to the dynamie rangę and the time resolution, as well as tiine-resolved observations of electrical discharge in argon/hydrogen or nitrogen/helium mixtures are described.
