Varsity Girls

Though their season ended wtth a record of 8-16. the varsity girls’ basketball team had a pretty good year. The team took third place in conference with a 6-6 record. and was the youngest team in conference.

Outstanding players on this year s team were Dianę Pukle (Ali Conference) and Tricia McManigal (All-Conference Honorable Mentton).

Head coach Walt Tyler hopes that ‘this is the last rebuilding year that need be encoun-tered." He also says that reversing their record Irom 8-16 to 16-8 next year “would be a very reasonable goal."

The Outlook is good for this team. Let us hope that they will continue the tradition of excel-lence at HLR.
