Patient position:
Supine with the lower extremity medially
rotated or sidelying on the side opposite to be
tested. The leg is stabilized above the ankle
joint. Evert the foot and plantar flex the ankle
joint.
Examiner pressure:
Against the lateral border and plantar surface
of the foot in the direction of foot inversion
and ankle dorsiflexion.
