Confirmation Testing



Patient position: prone with the knee
flexed



Apply the base of the Kinesio Tex to
the plantar surface of the distal
phalange of the great toe.



Extend the great toe, dorsiflex and
invert the ankle joint to increase
tissue tension.



Apply the tape along the medial
longitudinal arch and behind the
medial malleolus.



Peel the Kinesio Tex from the paper
liner and place the tape temporarily
on the skin. Do not activate the glue
by rubbing.



Apply the lateral “y” tail to the
posterior fibula, enclosing the muscle.



Apply the medial “y” tail along the
medial border of the muscle.
