Tape Specification     

KT Method

 

Patient position: standing.  

Tear the paper backing away from the 
central portion of the tape, leaving the 
backing on the tails.  

Holding the Kinesio Tex by the tails, 
pull the central portion of the tape with 
very light (15%) available tension and 
apply the central portion of the tape to 
the spinous process of T10. 

 

Ask the patient to flex the trunk and 
apply the tails with very light to light 
(15-25%) available tension. Apply the 
endsof the Kinesio Tex with no 
tension.
