HOSE RIGGING

1)

Lift hose with sling attached, approx. 0.5 metres from the flange but no more than 1.0
metres otherwise the hose may kink.

2)

Make fast a holding line (approx. 48mm dia) with a timber hitch approx. 8.0 metres from
the end of the hose, which is to be secured to the manifold. Secure the other end to the
ship rail.

3)

Lower hose end to manifold.

4)

Connect hose to manifold.

5)

Support the hose with the ships derrick/crane to give a smooth bend (minimum bend
radius is 6 times diameter of the hose). Adjust the holding line (2 above) to ensure hose
does not touch the top of the ship side rail and gives a horizontal lead from the manifold.

2) Holding Line

CONDITIONS FOR STS TRANSFER SERVICES

This attachment sets out the terms and conditions on which Fender Care Marine Ltd (“FCM”)
provides STS Transfer Services to any vessel. This attachment is incorporated by reference
into a letter to be signed by the Master of each vessel involved in an STS Transfer who will
thereby agree that this attachment applies to the STS Transfer in question.

1.

By signing a letter incorporating this attachment the Master signs for himself and for and on behalf of the Owners,
Operators, Ship Managers and demise Charterers (if any) of the vessel concerned who are all bound by the provisions of
this attachment.

2.

In all circumstances the Master of the vessel concerned shall remain solely responsible on behalf of the Owners,
Operators, Ship Managers and demise Charterers (if any) for the safety and proper navigation of such vessel and for all
aspects of the cargo transfer operations conducted by his ship.

3.

The STS Superintendent shall act solely in an advisory capacity in order to assist the Master as necessary in the
mooring, cargo transfer and unmooring operations related to the STS Transfer. The presence of the STS Superintendent
shall not relieve the Master of his responsibility as stated in Paragraph 2 above, and whilst performing STS Transfer
Services the STS Superintendent shall be deemed to be acting in the capacity of employee or agent of Owners,
Operators, Ship Managers, and Demise Charterers (if any) as applicable under the control of the Master or other person
in charge of the vessel.

If for operational reasons the letter that should have incorporated this attachment is not, or cannot be, signed by the
Master, the Master by accepting STS Transfer Services from an STS Superintendent nonetheless agrees by conduct to
the provision of this attachment on behalf of all the persons stated in Paragraph 1 as fully as if such letter has been
signed.

4.

Neither FCM nor the STS Superintendent nor any other person employed or engaged by FCM in connection with the
performance of STS Transfer Services shall be liable to the Master, Owners, Operators, Ship Managers, and Demise
Charterers (if any) or to any other party for any loss, damage, or delay to the vessel and/or her cargo, even if such loss,
damage or delay is caused by the negligence of FCM or the STS Superintendent or any other such person.

The Owners, Operators, Ship Managers and Demise Charterers (if any) of the vessel shall jointly and severally defend
and indemnify FCM, and the STS Superintendent and any other person employed or engaged by FCM in connection with
any STS Transfer Service against:

a)

All claims whatsoever for personal injury, loss of life, loss or damage to any property whatsoever
and other claims for delay and legal compensation, and

b)

All costs, and expenses which they or any of them reasonably incur in relation to such claims
arising out of or connected with the performance of STS Transfer Services even if such claims are
caused by the negligence of FCM, the STS Superintendent or any other person. Further to the
extent that FCM may indemnify the STS Superintendent or any other such person against any
claim that is the responsibility of the Owners, Operators, Ship Managers and Demise Charterers
(if any) under this Paragraph, which FCM shall be entitled to do at its sole discretion then Owners,
Operators, Ship Managers and Demise Charterers (if any) shall jointly and severally indemnify
FCM against the amount so paid out by FCM.

5.

The agreement shall be subject to English Law and jurisdiction. Any disputes arising out of this agreement including the
interpretation thereof shall be resolved by arbitration in London before a single Arbitrator agreed upon by the parties and
if not so agreed, appointed in accordance with the Arbitration Acts of 1950 et seq. The decision of the Arbitrator shall be
final and without appeal to the courts.

Dear Sir

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibility for the safe and proper conduct of all operations on board your ship rests at all times with
you as Master. Nevertheless, since our personnel, property and another vessel may suffer serious
damage in event of an accident involving your ship, we request your full co-operation and understanding of
the safety and operational requirements set out in our “Ship to Ship” Safety Checklist. These requirements
are based on safe working practices widely accepted by the oil and gas tanker industries and we expect
all under your command to strictly observe them throughout the entire operation.

The “Ship to Ship” Safety Checklist must be completed before transfer operations commence and
revalidated at 4 hourly intervals until completion of the operation.

If you or your personnel observe that either the other vessel or the support craft is not complying with the
safety requirements please bring the matter to the attention of the STS Superintendent.

If at any time you feel there is a threat to the safety or security of your ship, from whatever source, you are
fully entitled to demand an immediate cessation of operations.

If the STS Superintendent observes any infringement of the checklist requirements he will immediately
bring this to the attention of either you or your deputy. If corrective action is not taken within a reasonable
time the transfer will be stopped until the situation has been remedied.

IN THE EVENT OF PERSISTENT FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH ANY REQUIREMENT WE RESERVE
THE RIGHT TO STOP ALL OPERATIONS AND TO UNMOOR THE VESSELS SO THAT APPROPRIATE
ACTION MAY BE TAKEN BY THE OWNERS AND CHARTERERS CONCERNED.

Please acknowledge this letter to signify your understanding of its contents.
