Confirmation Testing



Patient position: sitting position



Apply the base of the Kinesio Tex to
the deltoid tuberosity of the humerus.



Peel the Kinesio Tex from the paper
liner and place the tape temporarily
on the skin. Do not activate the glue
by rubbing.



Extend and externally rotate the
shoulder to increase tissue tension in
the anterior deltoid.



Stabilize the base of the Kinesio Tex
and pull downward to increase tissue
tension.



Apply the anterior “y” tail to the lateral
third of the clavicle.



Flex, adduct, and internally rotate the
shoulder to increase tissue tension in
the posterior deltoid.



Stabilize the base of the Kinesio Tex
and pull downward to increase tissue
tension.



Apply the posterior “y” tail to the
lateral third of the spine of the
scapula.
