Make a Polish Porcupine!
1.
Cut 10 or 12 circles 4" in diameter. Fold each circle in half,
then again two times more. Crease edges to make outline of
8 sections. (fig.1 - next page)

Cut circles on creased lines, starting from outer edge up to
1 inch from the center.

Using a sharpened pencil place the pencil pointed toward outer
edge. (fig.2 - next page)
Roll the circle around pencil and glue flaps. Points should appear
sharp. (fig.3 - next page)
4.
Make 10 or 12 such circles, depending on thickness of paper;
string them together tightly (fig. 4 - next page) Use embroidery needle
and strong sewing thread. Start with a tiny disk of cardboard to hold
knot of thread, and when all circles are threaded, pull tightly; use
another tiny disk and knot thread over the side of it leaving a 7 or 8 inch
loop for hanging on the tree. (fig. 5 - next page)
