Confirmation Testing



Patient position: supine or long sitting



Apply the base of the Kinesio Tex to
the base of the 5th metatarsal bone.



Peel the Kinesio Tex from the paper
liner and place the tape temporarily
on the skin. Do not activate the glue
by rubbing.



Stabilize the base of the Kinesio Tex
and apply pressure in the direction of
ankle plantar flexion and inversion to
increase tissue tension.



Apply the anterior “y” tail to the border
between the fibularis (peroneal)
muscles and tibialis anterior.



Apply the posterior “y” tail along the
fibula posterior to the lateral
malleolus.
