The Dog Whisperer

A typical day at work for Cesar Millan might include putting
on his running shoes and taking a four-hour jog though the
mountains with 40 dogs. (1) _____ The rest are troubled
dogs sent to Millan to learn good behavior.
Cesar Millan is the star of the National Geographic show Dog
Whisperer and author of the best-selling book Cesar’s Way.
(2) _____ He grew up on a farm in Mexico, where his parents
and grandparents lived all their life. Small Cesar loved
playing with animals and there were plenty of them around.
His first job was helping a veterinarian. The vet he was
working with discovered that Cesar was very good at
calming scared dogs and handling all kinds of situations.

has built a rewarding career around his favorite animal.
His grandfather taught him that in nature dogs live in groups
called packs. They always follow one leader. Cesar’s specialty

home. So the Dog Whisperer doesn’t just train dogs, he also
