Tape Specification     

KT Method

 

Patient position: seated, head in 
neutral position and arms resting at 
the sides.  

Apply the base of the tape on the 
sternum one fingerbreadth below the 
sternoclavicular joint. 

 

Stabilize the base of the Kinesio Tex 
and apply downward pressure to 
increase tissue tension.  

Maximally horizontally abduct the 
shoulder, laterally flex and rotate the 
neck to the opposite side to increase 
tissue tension.  

Apply the Kinesio Tex over the 
clavicular portion of the pectoralis 
major, over the coracoid process, 
aalong the anterior border of the 
deltoid muscle to end over the deltoid 
tuberosity.
