TRANSKRYPCJA NAGRAŃ

Zadanie 4.

One.

So me pe ople are la te be cau se they sim ply don’t ha ve eno ugh ti me to do eve ry thing. The on ly way

to chan ge this is to stop do ing so much. Fa ce re ali ty – you can not get your who le list do ne. Fi gu re out
what’s most im por tant and just get that do ne. Tell the pe ople who de pend on you – li ke your boss – that
you can on ly do what you ha ve ti me for, and things at the bot tom of the list will not get do ne:
a re ali ty check for eve ry one in your li fe.

Two.

He re’s a gre at thing to say: „Excu se me, I ha te to cut you off, but I ha ve an ap po int ment”. It is

hard to cut so me one off, but they will re spect you for stic king to a sche du le. The go od news is that this
me ans it’s per fec tly ac cep ta ble in work li fe to say this short sentence. Get com for ta ble do ing it at work
and then you can do it at ho me, too.

Three.

As su me eve ry thing will ta ke a lit tle lon ger than your first es ti ma te. This will either ma ke you

ri ght on ti me for eve ry thing, or it’ll ma ke you a lit tle ear ly. Pe ople who do things ear ly are calm, or ga -
ni zed, and al ways re ady. Not a bad pla ce to be.

Fo ur.

If you block out ti me to be so me whe re then you won’t be do ing so me thing el se when it’s ti me to

go. I ama zed my self when I tried to do this. I di sco ve red I had eno ugh on my sche du le to last 48 ho urs
a day. It wo uld ha ve be en im pos si ble for me to be on ti me for any thing.

Fi ve.

Why do you let your self be la te? It is di sre spect ful and ma kes you lo ok unor ga ni zed and out of

con trol. Why can’t you keep con trol over your ti me? So much abo ut be ing on ti me is ac tu al ly abo ut self -
-know led ge. Often, we are sca red to ma ke the de ci sions that we must ma ke in or der to get con trol over
our ti me and be co me so me one who does things on sche du le. But the re is no other way to run a li fe.

Wo uldn’t you lo ve to get in si de a bul ly’s he ad and see what ma kes him tick? Whe re do es his an ger

In te rvie wer:

What kind of kids did you cho ose to bul ly?

Troy:

I gu ess I bul lied the usu al pe ople. I bul lied the smel ly pe ople, the „we ird” pe ople, and the pe ople

In te rvie wer:

Why the se par ti cu lar pe ople?

Troy:

I think I bul lied the pe ople who let them se lves be bul lied. Pe ople wi tho ut self -re spect or pe ople

whom I didn’t re spect for wha te ver re asons. For this re ason (mo re li ke ly be cau se I was one of
them), I ne ver bul lied the „nerds” or the „ge eks” – that is the pe ople who we re fond of com pu ters and
scien ce.

In te rvie wer:

Why do you think you we re a bul ly?

Troy:

I was a bul ly be cau se it was the co ol thing to do. A go od por tion of it wasn’t phy si cal bul ly ing.

Mo re often than not, I bul lied pe ople psy cho lo gi cal ly and emo tio nal ly. When it be ca me mo re than they

In te rvie wer:

Did any of the se kids ever stand up to you?

Troy:

I had ma ny pe ople stand up to me. Even tu al ly, I en ded up be ating them down. Then so me thing

Troy:

This qu estion brings te ars to my ey es to this day. I cre ated com ple xes in pe ople who car ry them

but I be at him to a blo ody pulp. He ne ver re co ve red emo tio nal ly and drop ped out of scho ol be cau se of the

In te rvie wer:

I’m su re you’re a gre at guy now!

Troy:

I don’t know. I ne ver fi ght now and walk away from fi ghts. I am a scien tist wor king at a bio tech -

In te rvie wer:

What ma kes you walk away from fi ghts now?

Troy:

For tu na te ly, my mind and my re spect for pe ace ha ve grown as well. I am told mo re often than not

re al ly wasn’t. I co uld say that my expe rien ces from the past sha ped me and my cur rent be ha vio ur.

In te rvie wer:

Any thing you wo uld li ke to add?

Troy:

You know what? I re ali zed that pe ople star ted li king me mo re and I li ked my self mo re when I use
