SUBJECT: ADDITION OF CHECK VALVE TO PREVENT REVERSE DRIVING OF SLOW SPEED

MOTOR

In certain cases, the slow speed motor on the R40DH can be driven in reverse as a result of lowering
the main lift cylinders. This can be prevented by fitting a check-valve in the pressure line to the main
control valve.

To implement, remove the existing hose assembly, part number 2002157 and replace with the new
assembly (see attached illustrations) consisting of the check valve, the two hydraulic fittings and the
two hose assemblies.
