SUBJECT: GM 2.2L CYLINDER HEADS
This gram clarifies service components for the GM 2.2L cylinder heads. Two different cylinder heads
were used on the GM 2.2L engine. Eight mm. valve stems were used on the original cylinder head and
Seven mm. valve stems were used on the later version.
The later version can be identified by an “S” at the end of the eight digit casting number on the cylinder
head.
The table on the following page shows the parts applicable to each cylinder head. Reference the following
illustration:
