NATO Secretary General visits Kabul

KABUL, Afghanistan (November 27) — NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer arrived at Kabul International Airport Nov. 26 for the first of a sequence of stops as part of an annual assessment tour of NATO operating bases throughout Afghanistan.

Secretary General Scheffer met with Afghan ministry officials before heading out to his next stop.

ISAF provided security for his arrival.
