Ben's grandmother is a remarkable woman. She lives with her cat Tobby in her Canadian flat. She reads a lot of books, magazines and newspapers. She often goes to the movies and visits her friends. She sometimes flies to London to meet her family. It is always very exciting to have her at home. When she comes, Ben's parents invite cousins, aunts and uncles for a dinner party. She talks about her experiences and tells the children some funny stories. They adore her, because she is an interesting old lady. She doesn't sleep very much now. She gets up at 5 a.m., has her morning tea and goes out for a walk in the park. When she comes back she meets the family at the breakfast table. |
