Johnny B. Goode
Deep down in Louisiana close to New Orleans,
Way back up in the woods among the Evergreens.
There stand a country cabin made of earth and wood,
There lives a country boy named Johnny B Goode.
Who never learned to read or write a book so well,
but he could play a guitar just like ringing bell.
Ref: Go go!! Go Johnny Go Go Go!!! Go Johnny Go!!
Go go!! Go Johnny Go Go Go!! Go Johnny Go!!
He used to carry his guitar in a gunny sack,
Sitting beneath in the trees by the railroad track.
All engineers sitting in the shade
stumming with the rhytm that the drivers made.
people passing by used to stop and say,
"Oh my, but how that country boy can play"
Ref: Go go!! Go Johnny Go Go Go!!! Go Johnny Go!!
Go go!! Go Johnny Go Go Go!! Go Johnny Go!!
His mother told him “someday you will be a man
And you will be the leader of a big old band.
Many people coming from a miles around,
To hear you play your music till the sun goes down.
Maybe someday you name will be in lights,
saying Johnny B Goode tonight!”
Ref: Go go!! Go Johnny Go Go Go!!! Go Johnny Go!!
Go go!! Go Johnny Go Go Go!! Go Johnny Go!!
