/42 The meeting was held to discuss two different types of electric vehicle: hydrogen cell and solar powered, and to decide which one to produce.
/44 We looked at the hydrogen fuel cell car which has very low emissions. However there is a risk of combustion when refilling.
/46 With regard to the solar powered car it seems attractive to the consumer because the sun is free, although it doesn't always shine, but you also need to have rather large solar panels which are heavy.
/48 As far as the cost is concerned, the hydrogen fuel cell will be only around 2.5 euro cents per km to the consumer whereas the costs of producing and running a solar powered vehicle are going to be much more expensive.
/50 We therefore decided to start production of the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle as it will be more cost effective and easier to produce.
