ACTIVITY 1 - MATCHING
Give a group of two/three pupils/students the two sets of cards and ask them to match them.
For younger children give them a smaller number, for example six picture cards and six word cards or even two sets of picture cards.
ACTIVITY 2 - VISIBLE PAIRS (for two to four players)
Spread out the two sets of cards face down on the table.
Players take it in turn to turn over one of the cards leaving them face up.
If any two of the cards match then the player who has just turned over a card can take those two cards.
The player with the most cards at the end is the winner.
NB
For younger children it is sometimes useful to use two sets of picture cards rather than one picture set and one word set.
