ABALATA
abālu [ḪÁD.A :
] (vb. a/a ;
)
G. to dry (v.i.), dry out D. to dry (v.t.) Dt. to get dried Š = D
Cf. ablu, ablūtu
ablūtu (n.)
[Sky → Climate]
aridity , drought ;
Akkadian ablūtu stands for Akkadian ablūtu(m)
Now look at Sumerian extended ideograms and try to understand the scale of the deceit:

The verb is abalu and the adjective is abalata just like in Akkadian.
lah [DRY] (1x: Old Babylonian) wr. lah2 "to dry" Akk. šābulu

lah2 |
1 distinct form attested; click to view forms table.
1. to dry (1x/100%)
~ LEX/Old Babylonian/unknown lu2 ki ba-lah2 = ša a-ša-ar-šu ša-bu-lu OB Lu-Azlag A 293.
Again the Sumerian words is not lah [DRY] but ba-lah2 from Akkadian abālu
Clearly the root lah2 is misleading and creates the impression that Sumerian is agglutinative while it is an Akkadian in disguise.
