TOPIC / THEME - To improve the quality of the players shooting & finishing in a 3v3 (+GK) practice

DESCRIPTION OF PRACTICE (TECHNIQUE / SKILL)

This session is designed to review the technique of shooting and develop into a skill practice.

ORGANISATION:

Practice 1 Keeper plays to the 2 back players in their own half Back players work a shooting opportunity Strikers looks for knock downs, rebounds and deflections Practice 2 Back players can play to strikers to set up or turn and shoot. (knock downs, rebounds and deflections still count) If back player plays into the striker the other back player can join in the attacking half. Either back player can join in from the back once a pass is made to the striker Progress to a 3v3 match

KEY FACTORS: Players must concentrate on:

Accuracy over Power Low rather than high shots Across the goalkeeper - far post not near post Can you be clever - Deception Rebounds Shoot at every opportunity
