PREPARATION (LARGE VERSION)
Print out two copies of the `flowers'.
Cut one of the sets up into individual cards.
Staple the other two sheets together to make a large picture with all eight flowers on it.
PREPARATION (SMALL VERSION)
Print out enough copies of the sheet so that each learner or pair of learners has one.
Cut one sheet up to make small cards.
RULES FOR THE GAME
Take one of the small cards.
The pupils/students look at the big board and ask yes/no questions to find out which card you are holding (e.g. `Has it got six leaves?' `Has it got any roots?').
The player who guesses which flower it is wins the small card.
Instead of winning the card, learners could be given points for good questions and for deciding on the correct answer.
Later learners take your role
The activity can be used in all sorts of situations:
Which pupil in the class am I thinking of?
Which picture on the wall am I thinking of?
Which queen of England am I thinking of?
