Use:

We use the Present Continuous

• for actions happening now (when we are talking);

• to talk about personal arrangements or plans in a near future (we often give the time, date and/or place)

• to express continuity;

• with some expressions (now, at present, at this moment).

We DO NOT use the present continuous with some verbs: to be, to have, to know, to want, etc.
