This track practises the present perfect tense.

Meaning/uses

Forms

This usually refers to actions that happened in the past but which have present reference, for example:

  • I have finished my work (so I am ready to go home now).

  • I have just drunk a cup of tea (so I am not thirsty now).

  • I've lost my money (so I want you to buy the drinks).

statements

  • I/You/We/They have written.

  • He/She/It has written.

questions

  • Have I written?

  • Has she written?

negatives

  • I haven't written.

  • He hasn't written.

  • Throw a dice. Move your counter.

  • Ask the next person a question starting with the words in the square you have landed on.

  • If they can answer the question they can throw the dice.
