I am working as a Sales and Marketing Executive in the big pharmaceutics company. I am responsible for planning and carrying out direct marketing and sales activities, so as maintaining and developing sales in accordance with agreed business plans. I maintain and develop a computerised customer and prospect database. I also plan and carry out direct marketing activities (principally direct mail) to agreed budgets, sales volumes, values, product mix and timescales. I am responsible for developing ideas and creating offers for direct mail and marketing to major accounts by main market sector products. I Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by post, telephone, and personal visits. I also maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual account support, and liaison with internal order-processing staff. I am responsible for monitoring and reporting on activities and providing relevant management information. I usually carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys. I am responsible for maintaining and reporting on equipment and software suitability for direct marketing and sales reporting purposes. I liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development. I also manage the external marketing agency activities of telemarketing and research. I am responsible for attending training and developing relevant knowledge and skills.
