The Fox and The Crow
A Crow stole a piece of cheese and flew with it to a tall tree. A fox, seeing her and wishing to get the cheese for himself, tried to obtain it by flattering the crow.
What a beautiful bird you are! What glossy feathers you have! - he exclaimed. -Now, if your voice is equal to your beauty you deserve to be called the queen of birds.
The crow was highly pleased at this and opened her mouth to caw, but the piece of cheese fell down. The cunning fox quickly picked it up and ran off.
