Sport brings out the best and the worst in people.
Sport can cause a lot of good things for us. For example we can keep fit and stay in a good form for a whole life. Exercise and physical activity are a great way to feel better, gain health benefits and control our weight. That’s why people says sport is a key to healthy living. Playing in a team can also help you work with other people and get along with them. But for me the most important advantage about sport is competition. Competition can bring out the best in everyone. During a single day, people in some way compete with themselves or with others. If there were no competition, no one would succeed in life. All people would be at the same level. There would be no such word as "best." We would not even progress in technology because no one would want to invent something better.
But coming back to the subject. Sport brings out the best AND the worst in people. So it’s not always positive as we may think. For example a lot of people want to beat their opponents just to win money and reputation. These one’s are spoilt, blinded with fame and desire to be the best. Another point in that is too much sport can cause some serious disease or even take one’s life. Not a long time ago a footballer died on the football pitch. On 14 of April 2012 Piermario Morosini (an Italian footballer ) collapsed during a game. The cause of death was cardiac arrest. And the last but not least: sports reveal who people really are. What I mean is that in this circumstances people can’t stop their emotions and they are behaving just like they are inside. Sports break all the bars and let people be themselves. Not always in a positive way.
By and large sport can help us being tough, better, faster, stronger, but also can bring unwanted parts out. Just have some fun during exercising and take as much as you can from that.
