Removal
1.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the steering wheel
lock is engaged.
NOTE:
Make sure that the road wheels are in
the straight ahead position.

3. Remove the wheel and tire on both sides.

Be prepared to collect escaping
fluids.

Make sure that all openings are
sealed.

Make sure that the ball joint ball
does not rotate.

Make sure that the exhaust
flexible pipe is not forcibly bent.

WARNING:
This step requires the aid of
another technician.
Lower the front subframe to gain access to the
stabilizer bar bolts.
18. Remove the stabilizer bar nuts on both sides.
Do not remove the stabilizer bar bolts at this
stage.

NOTE:
Note the position of each component
before removal.
Installation
All vehicles
1. Install the stabilizer bar bushings with no
lubricant. Make sure the bushing nipple is on
the right-hand side.
2.
NOTE:
Make sure that the clamp is installed
to the same orientation as when removed.
On both sides.
3.
NOTE:
Apply water to the stabilizer bar
clamp to assist installation.
On both sides.
General Equipment:
Hydraulic press
4. Install new nuts and bolts, on both sides.
Torque:
Stage 1:
140 Nm
Stage 2:
45°
5.
1. Insert the washer, with inside diameter
22 mm, outside diameter 44 mm and
height 5 mm, into the front subframe
above the alignment hole.
2. Insert the alignment pin through the
front subframe alignment holes and
the washer.
Special Tool(s):
205-316A
3. Slide the locking plates on top of the
washer and into the groove of the
special tool and tighten the alignment
pin sleeve.
6. Torque:
Stage 1:
150 Nm
Stage 2:
90°
7.
1. Torque: 30 Nm
2. Torque:
Stage 1:
150 Nm
Stage 2:
90°
Vehicles with 2.5L engine
8. Torque: 110 Nm
Vehicles with 2.0L or diesel engine
9. Torque: 80 Nm

19. Install the wheel and tire on both sides.

WARNING:
Make sure a new steering
column flexible coupling bolt is installed.
Torque: 30 Nm
21. Fill the power steering system.
Refer to: Power Steering System Filling (211-

22. Bleed the power steering system.
Refer to: Power Steering System Bleeding
(211-00 Steering System - General
Information, General Procedures).
23. Check the toe setting and adjust as necessary
on both sides.
