SYLVANIA LAMPS

Havells Sylvania is one of the world’s largest producers of light sources and manufactures
a wide range of lamps: incandescent, halogen, low-energy, fluorescent, LED and a
comprehensive range of HID lamps and other specialist lighting products for the
professional specifier and user.

Sylvania lamps are distributed from stock, via our national sales organisations around
the world, to original equipment manufacturers and retail outlets and through
professional wholesale distribution to installers and end users.

FACTORIES

Sylvania has created Competency Centres for its major lamp product groups – bringing
specific design, marketing and production engineering skills, for each key lamp group,
together in one place: to co-ordinate and focus the years of experience this brings to
new product development; and to bring products into the marketplace efficiently and
effectively.

Incandescent lamps remain highly popular for home lighting. Research shows that new shapes and

colour tones will stimulate consumers to buy light bulbs which add atmosphere to every part of the

home.

TUNGSTEN HALOGEN LAMPS

Low voltage tungsten halogen lamps come in many forms and sizes and thanks to a highly advanced and

precise technique, are also available in low-pressure versions, which allow free burning in open fixtures.
Sylvania’s mains voltage tungsten halogen lamps, including the 4000 hours HI-SPOT® SUPERIA range,

combine beautiful bright halogen light with the many advantages of mains voltage.

LED

LEDs are becoming more and more efficient and applicable for accent lighting purposes. They are available in

various shapes, intensities, beam angles and colours. To meet the need for difficult to service, long lasting light

source, LEDs are the perfect solution. The small dimensions of tese light sources and the easy connectivity make

them popular in the creation of staggering easy to install lighting effects.
Sylvania offers a comprehensive range of mounted LED light sources. This range covers the widest application

possibilities for accent light solutions. For specific needs and tailor made solutions, Sylvania is always able to

offer an LED module that fits the need of our customer.

COMPACT FLUORESCENT LAMPS

Compact fluorescent lamps meet the growing need for energy-efficient, long lasting, light sources for a

wide variety of commercial and domestic applications. The Sylvania Lynx range offers comprehensive

solutions for diverse applications.
The Highly successful Mini-Lynx Fast-Start range offers unique compactness and is designed to replace

standard incandescent GLS lamps in any application where they are used, while using a fifth of the

energy and lasting six to fifteen times longer (6000 to 15000 hours) – reducing both energy bills and

lamp changes. Lynx and Mini-Lynx lamps share the same common features of long life, high colour

rendering and constant light output throughout life.

FLUORESCENT TUBES

The key benefits of fluorescent lamps are their proven efficiency and long lamp life and their suitability

for use with magnetic ballasts or electronic control gear.
There have been significant improvements in recent years in lamp efficacy, colour rendering, lumen

maintenance and lamp life. Perhaps the most important improvement has been the use of advanced

phosphors, which offer high efficacy and excellent colour rendering.
Sylvania offers a comprehensive range of high-efficiency fluorescent lamps in various lengths, diameters,

wattages, colours as well as lamps for a wide range of specialist applications.

HID LAMPS

High Intensity Discharge lamps provide excellent luminous efficiency, long life and colour rendering to

meet a variety of lighting needs, in both indoor applications – shops and industry for example – and

exterior applications such as street and architectural lighting.
Sylvania’s ranges of discharge lamps are characterised by quality lamp materials, advanced manufacturing
